Arjen van Eijk and Florian Dirkse are two Dutch friends with an inconsolable passion for travel and adventure.

Their mission aboard their 10-meter long sailboat called Pegasus is to spend nearly two years crossing 47,000 kilometers of the World's oceans and seas.

During this time they will face some of the worlds roughest passages and challenging environments known to man… as well as political unrest and extreme risk from pirates.

Their motivation is not only friendship and adventure, but also to learn and relay their encounters and experiences about the health of our watery world.

Arjen and Florian are not scientists, but during their ocean travels they will meet people who are directly linked to the ebb and flow of the oceans tides, either local fishermen who’s livelihood has been affected by mass commercial fishing to NGO’s, climatologists and marine biologists, whom are battling to understand how mans’ footprint has impacted the most influential and yet fragile of all our bio-spheres…

The Green Miles Project will utilize the latest in green energy and the aim of the team is to be completely carbon neutral.
In six films, we will chart The Green Miles journey encountering its highs and lows of two years at sea, from the Galapagos Islands to the Suez Canal and beyond.
