Big work is often done by small groups of dedicated people the world over... This is none more so than at Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire.

Sea turtles have been swimming the seas and oceans since before the dawn of the dinosaur and yet a land based hairless ape - man - has been able, in a few generations, to render this beautiful and majestic species almost extinct...

Hunting, plastic marine pollution and over use of beaches are some of the Turtles greatest threats.

During our time in the tropical Caribbean Island of Bonaire we filmed a small band of dedicated staff and volunteers as they set about counting and monitoring Green and Hawksbill Turtles in an attempt to understand how best to conserve this great migratory ocean wanderer.

STBC has been significantly helped by financial and advisory support from WWF - an organization dedicated to wildlife conservation.
